SAP
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a process that uses school and community resources to identify and address barriers to a student's learning, including alcohol, tobacco, other drug, and mental health issues. SAP involves a systematic team process where the school identifies students needing support, screens their needs, and connects them with appropriate evidence-based interventions, potentially including referrals to community agencies when school resources are insufficient. The program aims to mobilize resources to remove these barriers and support student success.
